Spotify Adopts Nielsen Brand Effect Verification Ad Platform

On September 11th, 2018, Spotify announced the addition of Nielsen Brand Effect to its third-party verification suite. As the publicly traded company matures it is adding another measurement solution from Nielsen. Nielsen Brand Effect will be available for ads in the U.S., Germany, U.K., Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, The Netherlands, Spain, and France, for now.
Jessica Hogue, Nielsen’s SVP of digital solutions says that the company was one of the first streaming music platforms to work with Nielsen and provide advertisers with an independent view of their audiences. The company has been experimenting with its ad experience. In June, Instagram announced that shopping would come to Stories in lieu of a number of trials with brands. Now, shopping in Stories will be made to go live as the popular social media has decided to add a personalized shopping channel for its Explore section. Instagram is also making efforts to increase its in-app shopping features by enabling users to shop via stories.
Retailers and brands will now be able to tag their products and integrate them into stories’ content. They will also be allowed to customize their tags using text colors, stickers and images. According to fashion group Zalando, one of the reasons why brands appear to be quick to adopt Stories is that the content they make contents seem more genuine. Apple Acquires Shazam To Offer Users More Ways To Enjoy Music

Apple has announced that it has completely acquired Shazam, one of the world’s most popular and highly-rated music apps, used by hundreds of millions of people worldwide. Adobe Acquires Marketo for $4.75 billion

For a whopping $4.75 billion, Adobe it shall be acquiring Marketo, one other the foremost cloud platform for B2B market engagement and interaction. This transaction, however, is still at the level of a definitive agreement and the figure, as announced by Adobe, is subject to customary purchase price adjustments. This will enable Adobe to offer an unrivaled set of solutions for delivering transformative customer experiences across industries and companies of all sizes. The transaction, which is expected to close during the fourth quarter of Adobe’s 2018 fiscal year, is still subject to regulatory approval and the conditions of customary closing. Google Turns The Big 20!

On  Thursday, 27th September, Google turned 20 years old and has been celebrating the milestone all week on social media. The company’s official birthday is September 27, 1998, which is when Google first launched its webpage. The tech giant is celebrating its 20th birthday with a new Google Doodle marking the special occasion.
This year’s Google Doodle features letter-shaped balloons attached to a gift box. Tapping plays a YouTube video that animates popular searches from around the globe over the past two decades. Terms include Y2K, Pluto losing its status as a planet, the Royal Wedding, 2012 on the Mayan calendar, and avocado toast. It ends on an international thank you from Google.
